Mrs. Sandra Arnett Obituary

Mrs. Sandra Williams Arnett, lovingly known as Sandra, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 25, 2023, in Lanett, Alabama, at the age of 79. Born on December 25, 1943, in Lanett, Alabama, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt cherished by her family and friends.

Sandra was a hardworking and dedicated employee, having worked at Diversified Products Corporation for several years. She later transitioned to working for the Country Kwik convenience store in Auburn, where she continued to serve her community with a warm smile and friendly demeanor.

Sandra had a genuine passion for life, which was evident in her various interests and hobbies. She took great pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming home.  As an avid supporter of SEC football, Sandra was an Auburn University football fan.  In her downtime, she enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows such as Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, often participating from the comfort of her living room.

A talented and generous woman, Sandra had a knack for crocheting beautiful blankets, quilts, and potholders, which she would lovingly gift to others. Her faith-filled and selfless nature was a testament to her character and was admired by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward “Ed” of 45 years, her sisters, Mary Lou Hill and Rosie McClain.

Sandra is survived by her son, Roger (Kathy) Arnett; her grandchildren, Chris (Lindsay) Arnett, Dewayne (Sammi) Arnett; her great-grandchildren, Carley Arnett McDaniel, Dallas Arnett, Carson Arnett, Caylee Arnett, Landon Winske, Logan Arnett, and Elliot Arnett; her sister, Betty Jean Lewis; her special niece, Betty Duffee; and several other nieces and nephews. She was a loving and devoted family member who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In remembering Sandra, we celebrate a life filled with love, faith, and generosity.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 11:30A.M. EDT at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama.  Her family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT.
