Mrs. Evelyn Florence Williams Hockersmith

Mrs. Evelyn Florence Hockersmith, age 98, of Beulah, Alabama passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in her home.

Mrs. Hockersmith was born on October 14, 1922 to the late Raymond O. Williams, Sr. and Ruth Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald H. Hockersmith and her son, George Dyer.

She was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting and her beloved dog, J.R.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Reid, Sharon Mottern, June Haughton, and Mary Moore along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been made with Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL.  Due to COVID-19, the services will be graveside with immediate family.

The family respectfully declines the gift of flowers and requests that memorials be made to the Chattahoochee Hospice in her memory.
