Mr. Wayne H. Gleaton Obituary

Wayne H. Gleaton, 84, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at EAMC Lanier. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM EST at Fairfax Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the gravesite.

Survivors include two daughters, Shelia Gleaton & Pamela Gleaton Young (Sammy); two grandsons, Nicholas & Ryan Young all of Valley, AL; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Buchanan Gleaton, his parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Mr. Gleaton was born in Fairfax, AL on August 2, 1936. He retired from West Point Stevens after 40 plus years of service. He served in the Alabama National Guard for several years and was a member of the Valley Rescue Squad. He also attended the Valley Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball and spending time with his two grandsons.
