Mr. Mickey Lance Elliott, Sr., affectionately known as Mickey, was born on May 25, 1959, in Langdale, Alabama, and passed away peacefully at his residence on March 31, 2023. A loving, handy, and thoughtful man, Mickey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Mickey is survived by his loving wife, Virginia C. Elliott, with whom he shared many cherished years. He was a proud and dedicated father to his daughter, Nikke McClelland (Michael), and his son, Mickey Elliott (Jessica). Mickey's love for his family extended to his seven grandchildren, Trey McCarley, Aubry McCarley, Ryleigh McClelland, Mickey McClelland, Hadalyn Elliott, Hayden Elliott, and Weston Elliott, who will fondly remember their grandfather's kind and gentle spirit.
In addition to his immediate family, Mickey is survived by his brother, O'Neal Elliott; his sister-in-law, Margaret Elliott; and several nieces and nephews, who will miss his warm presence and thoughtful guidance. Mickey's strong family values and unwavering love for his family were evident in every aspect of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Ware; his brothers, Rickey Elliott and Donald Elliott.
Mickey was of the Baptist faith. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing. His love for nature was only matched by his enthusiasm for NASCAR racing and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Mickey's competitive spirit and unwavering loyalty to his favorite sports teams brought excitement and joy to his life and the lives of those who knew him.
Mickey's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will always remember him as a loving, handy, and thoughtful man. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know him.
In accordance with Mickey’s wishes, no services will be held.
