Joyce Taylor Bissett Obituary

Mrs. Joyce Wonita Taylor Bissett, 66, of West Point, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.

Mrs. Bissett was born in West Point, Georgia on November 12, 1954, to the late J.W. Taylor and Mattie Brooks Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Perkins, a granddaughter Brailyn Harris, son-in-law Carey Ashley Harris, Jr., and three brothers James, Don, and Jerry.

In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and quilting.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Donnie Bissett, West Point, GA.; daughter, Tami Harris, West Point, GA.; siblings, Ronald, Lester, Charlie, Marty and Tim Taylor, Angie Osbahr, Becky Hachtel, Susan Taylor, Kathy Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Linda Jones; sisters-in-law, Wanda Moseley, Janice Green; son-in-law Kevin Perkins; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 31st, 2021, at the Bissett family home, 183 Gray Hill School Road, West Point, Georgia, 31833.
