Jean S. Lyons

     Mrs. Jean S. Lyons, age 85, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at Diversicare of Lanett. She was Born on November 18th, 1934 in Shawmut, Alabama to the late Arthur C. and Bernice M. Smith.

     Mrs. Lyons is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank Lyons; her son, Len (Amy) Lyons of Ellerslie, Georgia; her granddaughter, Christiana Lyons of Ellerslie, Georgia.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Paula J. Lyons.

     Mrs. Lyons was a graduate of Valley High School. For many years she taught kindergarten in Shawmut. She had a great love for the children she taught. She retired from West Point Pepperell as a claims analyst after which she became a substitute school teacher. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice.

     Funeral services will be private.
