Catherine "Sue" Cline

     Mrs. Catherine “Sue” Cline, age 79, of Cusseta, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.

     Mrs. Cline was born on November 25th, 1943 in West Point, Georgia to the late Mack and Mildred Hall. She was a member of Cusseta Baptist Church and a resident of the community for over 50 years. She worked for Head Start in Chambers County for 40 years until her retirement. She was one of the South’s best cooks and was famous for her banana pudding.

     Mrs. Cline is survived by her children, Grady Harold Cline, Jr. and Dina Lidestri (Ralph); grandchildren, Danielle Peckham (Scotty), Deven Tomlinson (Josh), Zoie Cline, and Grayden Cline; great grandchildren, Rylee Tomlinson, Lillyana Peckham, Mia Peckham, and Rayne Tomlinson.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grady Cline; son, Edward James Cline; brothers, Carey Hall and Doyle Hall; and sister, Dona Watson.

     Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Reverend Mike McCormick will officiate. Mrs. Cline’s family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
