Aaron L. Spivey

   Mr. Aaron L. Spivey, age 82, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at his residence. He was born on October 16th, 1938 in Langdale, Alabama to the late B. C. and Hazel Spivey.

     Mr. Spivey is survived by his wife, Beverly E. Spivey; daughter, Ashley Nichole Spivey; sister, Sharon (Jeff) Burnett, sister in law, Debra E. (Bill) Morkes; a host of nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Spivey.

     Mr. Spivey became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He was an active member for decades at the First Baptist Church of Shawmut where he served as Deacon, Chairman of Deacons, Choir member, and Soloist. He spent his working career in LaGrange, Georgia. He spent 16 years as a purchasing manager at the Ethyl Corporation and Rubbermaid and 20 years at the Georgia Alabama Supply Company as a sales representative. Following his retirement he spent 9 years as a part time employee of Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Homes, Inc. He was an avid University of Alabama and Boston Red Sox fan.

     Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. The Reverend Chuck Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:30 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
