Vicky Hurst Strickland

Vicky Hurst Strickland, 51, of Valley, Alabama passed away January 17th, 2020 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. 

She is survived by a husband of 31 years, Darryl Strickland; two children, Kayla (Cory) Peavy, and David (Lindsay) Strickland; and a granddaughter, Evelyn Peavy. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, David Lynnwood and Julia Hurst; and a brother, David Scott Hurst.  

Vicky loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She was a 1987 graduate of Valley High School and a band alumna. Her children and grandchild were her pride and joy. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifetime follower of Christ. 

Services will be Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 at the Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley at 2:00p.m. EST. Brother Tim Bass will be officiating. Her family will be receiving visitors an hour before the service.
