Mr. Robert “Gene” Brown, 83, a resident of LaGrange, GA and formerly of The Valley, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at LaGrange Rehab. Funeral services will be held at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 3:00 PM EST with Rev. Chuck Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fairfax Cemetery.

Survivors include his children, Cathy Richardson (Tony) & Steve Brown (Joy); two brothers, Jimmy Brown (Carolyn) & Billy Brown (Vickie); four grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Alex Brown, Clay Richardson, & Carly Mobley; three great-grandchildren, Marleigh Brown, Caleb & Haley Richardson. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Alice Brown & Carol Smith Brown.

Mr. Brown was born in LaGrange, GA on April 21, 1935 and was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Valley.
