Nancy O'Neal Waites Obituary

Mrs. Nancy O’Neal Waites, age 65, of Valley, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. She was born on March 18th, 1953 in Langdale, AL.

Mrs. Waites is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Waites, Sr., her daughter, Lynn Scott and her children, Ryan (Janna) Collins and Katie (Trevor) Bass; her son, Charles Edward (Brandy Ledbetter) Waites, Jr. and his children, Colton Waites and Clyde Waites; her sister Estelle (Bryan) LaPorte.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.T. “Buddy” O’Neal, Sr. and Elzonia “Faye” O’Neal; and her brother, W.T. O’Neal, Jr. Mrs. Waites enjoyed gardening. She loved her family, her fur babies, Sam and Lucy, and especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 17th, 2019 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
