Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Mavis Austin, 91, of Carriere, Mississippi, who passed away April 13, 2019, at Canon Hospice in Gulfport, Mississippi, will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 10 A.M. EST at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett, AL. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery.
Ronnie Mitchell will officiate the service.
Mrs. Austin is survived by Paula and Lee Brantley and their son, Wyatt Brantley, and Scottie and James Wilson, and their children, Austin, Andrew, and John; her sister in law, Beverly Austin; her niece, Veronica Austin; her lifelong friend, Viola Mitchell and her children; her MS English friend, Carol Breading; lifelong friends, family, and caregivers, aka her son and daughter, Philip, Penny, and aka her granddaughter, Amy; her great-granddaughter, Chloe; and last but not least, her dogs and cats.
Mrs. Austin lived in Lanett for 59 years and moved to Carriere in 2005 until her passing. She was born in District of Cullompton, Country of Devon England.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA and The Salvation Army.
