Mr. Thomas Watson Obituary

Mr. Thomas H. Watson, age 79, of Huguley passed away at his granddaughter’s residence on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018.

Mr. Watson was born on March 25, 1939 in Augusta, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dona Pearl Watson, and his brother, Conway Watson.

Thomas dearly missed his beloved wife after her passing, but they are both reunited today.  He also loved and adored his little dog, Sandy, who passed away a few years ago.

Mr. Thomas worked for West Point Stevens Company.  He was a member of the Faith Evangelistic Church and a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Watson was an honest man of his word and expected the same in return.  He loved his family and always worked hard to provide for them.  Before his health started to decline, he could often be found enjoying a meal at Sunny’s or the Waffle House. His favorite time of year was in the spring when the Buttercups were in full bloom.

He spent his last days with his granddaughter, Shanna, who cared for him at her home.  Although his health was declining, he ultimately passed away from his loneliness.

Mr. Watson is survived by his children, Larry (Caprice) Watson, Dana Lynn (James) Echols; grandchildren, Tommy Watson, Hunter Watson, Harley Crowder, Shanna “Best Buddy” Cox; great-grandchildren, Ella Cate Cox, Harlyn Crowder; very good lifelong friend, Henry Goss.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at 3:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Oakwood Cemetery.  The Reverend James Osteen officiating.  His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT.
