Mr. Brackeen "Brad" Whaley

Mr. Brackeen “Brad” Whaley, 78, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3:00 PM EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with burial to follow at Fairfax Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mr. Whaley is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nellie S. Whaley; two sons, Barry Whaley (Susie), Tony Whaley (Debra); eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Breedlove, Brenda Caldwell, Mable Grimes; two brothers, Leonard Whaley, Mike Whaley; several nieces and nephews; and his extended family and friends.

Mr. Whaley was born in Randolph County, AL on February 8, 1941.

Brad was loved by everyone that knew him. He never met a stranger, he was willing to help anyone and expected nothing in return.

Brad loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He was a hard worker and great provider. 

Brad will truly be missed but NEVER forgotten.

We would like to thank all our extended family, friends, doctors , nurses, and especially the hospices nurses for all the help, comfort, and love they have showed us during our time of need.

Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
