Milton J. "Red" George Obituary

Mr. Milton J. “Red” George, age 82, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. He was born on November 18th, 1936 in Chambers County, Alabama.

Mr. George is survived by his four children, Dena Caruso, Elizabeth Sapp, Cynthia Fulghum, and Clifton George; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna George; his son, Christopher George, and two granddaughters.

Mr. George retired from the U.S. Armed Forces after serving over twenty-four years in the Army and Air Force. He was also a retired employee of West Point Pepperell. He enjoyed talking and never met a stranger. He loved being around his family, especially his great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19th, 2019 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the graveside in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.
