Hershel Richardson

     Mr. Hershel Richardson, age 86, of Cusseta, AL, (formerly of Lanett and Tuskegee, AL), passed away on Sunday, January 13th, 2019 in Cusseta. He was born on November 17th, 1932 in Wedowee, AL.

     Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Sharon Richardson; his son, Dale Richardson; his daughter, Sherry (Tommy) Luhta, his five grandchildren, Justin (Liz) Richardson, Levi (Jessica) Richardson, Jason (Allison) Morgan, Summer Patterson, and Marcus Luhta; his eight great grandchildren; his brother, Griggs (Lee) Richardson; and his sister, Evelyn Cobb.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Margie Richardson; his brother, Swann Richardson; four of his sisters, Judy hand, Nan Adcock, Myrtle Sides, and Ella Dale Richardson.

     Mr. Richardson was of the Methodist faith. He was the former Manager of Skinner Furniture in Tuskegee, AL. He was an avid university of Alabama fan who loved to grow tomatoes and work in his garden.

     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the graveside in Johnson Memorial Gardens in Valley, AL. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
