Austin Brett Butler, 36, of Navarre Beach, FL left to be in the arms of our Lord on Sunday, January 13th. He was born in Valley, AL on February 3, 1982, the son of Lynn Green Davis and Jimmie Sturges.
Brett is survived by his parents, Lynn Green Davis (Mother), Jimmie Sturges (Father), and Ben Davis (Step-Father), as well as his siblings Miranda Sturges (Sister) and Jason Sturges (Brother). He was also blessed with loving aunts and uncles, Susan and Doug Brumbeloe as well as Janet and Mike Adcock.
He attended Valley High School, where he was a member of the football team, and graduated in 2000. At the time of his passing he was self-employed in communications and installation where he thoroughly enjoyed the hard work and independence. He strived through his hard work ethic to ensure that those around him were cared for. His love of life, generosity, and laughter will be greatly missed. Brett had love that far reached his immediate family, and leaves behind many relatives and life-long friends. He will be forever young.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, AL on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 5:00 PM (EST). The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 3:00 PM (EST) until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Chattahoochee Humane Society or to the Humane Society of one’s choice in his memory.
